Our Story

Be the Good Ground.

We make clothing that carries a story worth asking about. A design good enough that a stranger stops you to say "I like your shirt," with a story behind it that's worth telling. That's how ordinary days become good ground for conversations that grow.

Why I started it

I'm Nick. I like wearing my faith, and every so often what I'm wearing starts a conversation I never would have had otherwise. But I kept running into the same problem. I couldn't find Christian clothing with the design, comfort, material and fit I actually wanted to wear. So I started making my own.

Why so many of our designs don't say a word

Jesus didn't usually open with a sermon. He told stories: a farmer scattering seed, a shepherd going after one lost sheep, a mustard seed growing into a tree. Simple pictures that made people curious. The ones who wanted to know more came back and asked.

Many of our designs work the same way. No verse, no slogan, just a scene from a parable drawn well enough to wear anywhere. If you know the story, you'll recognize it right away. If you don't, it might be the reason you ask. And when someone does ask, the person wearing it gets to tell the story.

Parables. Graphic only. No words, nothing preachy, just a story drawn into the design and waiting to be asked about.
Scripture. The verse is right there on the piece, for days when you want to say it plainly.

Why "Fourth Soil"

In the parable of the sower, a farmer scatters seed. Some falls on the hard path, some on rocky ground, some among thorns. The fourth soil is the good ground, where the seed takes root and bears fruit a hundredfold.

"But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience."

That's who we want to be. Not perfect, just good ground. Ready to receive, take root, and grow something worth sharing.

How we make it

Clothes you'd choose anyway. We care about the design, the comfort, the material and the fit, because faith apparel shouldn't feel like a compromise.
Scripture printed true. Every design starts from a passage, and every verse we print is quoted from the King James Version.
Grown in the heartland. Every piece is designed in the Red River Valley, drawing on the field and harvest imagery that runs all through Scripture.
